Debt Collection Software Pricing
DebtAgent costs $49 a month for Starter, $149 for Plus, and $499 for Pro. Enterprise is a custom quote. Pay yearly and save 50 percent. Every plan is a flat fee, never a percentage of what you recover.
A collection agency keeps 15 to 30 percent of everything it collects for you. DebtAgent keeps none of it. See the arithmetic in the agency cost comparison, or read how each finance team runs the agent on our b2b debt collection software use cases page.

What a collection agency really costs
Contingency agencies publish rates in the 15 to 30 percent range of everything they recover. The table below models the middle of that band, 20 percent, against DebtAgent's flat annual price. The more you recover, the wider the gap gets.
| Recovered in a year | Agency fee at 20% | You keep with an agency | DebtAgent, billed yearly | You keep with DebtAgent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $10,000 | $2,000 | $8,000 | $288 (Starter) | $9,712 |
| $25,000 | $5,000 | $20,000 | $288 (Starter) | $24,712 |
| $60,000 | $12,000 | $48,000 | $888 (Plus) | $59,112 |
| $150,000 | $30,000 | $120,000 | $888 (Plus) | $149,112 |
| $500,000 | $100,000 | $400,000 | $2,988 (Pro) | $497,012 |
Break-even
$4,440
Recover more than $4,440 in a year and Plus, at $888 billed yearly, already costs less than a 20 percent agency. Starter breaks even at $1,440 recovered.
The honest caveat
A contingency agency costs you nothing if it recovers nothing. DebtAgent charges the subscription either way. If you place two stale invoices a year and nothing else, the agency is the cheaper bet. If you carry a steady book of overdue accounts, the flat fee wins fast.
What agencies still do
An agency can take assignment of a debt, run skip tracing, and refer accounts to litigation counsel. DebtAgent does none of that. It is software you operate on your own accounts, which is exactly why you keep the whole recovery.
Every plan, side by side
All four tiers share the same compliance engine. What changes is volume, channels, and how much of the operation you can automate end to end.

Every tier keeps the same rule. DebtAgent is a flat monthly fee, not a percentage of what it recovers. For the disclosures every message must carry, read our guide to FDCPA-compliant collection letters.
Questions before you buy
The objections finance and compliance teams raise first, answered plainly. To watch the agent work on a real balance, try the debt collection software demo on the homepage.
Is this legal?
Yes. Collecting a debt you are owed is lawful, and using software to do it is lawful. DebtAgent is a tool you operate: you remain the creditor or the collector of record, and the agent sends only messages you have reviewed and approved. It never threatens litigation, never claims to be a law firm, and never generates harassing language. DebtAgent is not a collection agency and does not provide legal advice.
Is it FDCPA compliant?
It is built to be. Mandated debt disclosures, the seven-contacts-in-seven-days frequency cap, permitted contact-time windows, dispute handling, and cease-communication requests are enforced by the cadence engine rather than left to you to remember. Regulation F rules are applied per message, and every decision the engine makes, allowed or blocked and why, is written to a compliance audit log you can export. Compliance also depends on how you use the tool, so you stay responsible for the accuracy of the balances you load.
Do you take a cut of what I recover?
No. DebtAgent charges a flat monthly subscription and nothing else. There is no contingency percentage, no per-recovery fee, and no success fee. You keep 100 percent of every dollar collected. A collection agency typically keeps 15 to 30 percent of the same money.
What happens if the debtor disputes the debt?
The cadence stops automatically. When a debtor disputes, DebtAgent pauses every scheduled step for that debt, flags the account as disputed, and logs the request with a timestamp. Collection cannot resume until you supply verification of the debt, which is what Regulation F requires. The same automatic stop applies to a cease-communication request, and both events land in the audit log.
Can I cancel?
Yes, at any time, from the billing portal inside your account. There is no contract, no notice period, and no cancellation fee. A monthly plan stops at the end of the current period. A yearly plan runs to the end of the term you paid for. You can export your debtors, sequences, and full audit log before you leave.
Does the agent actually send messages, or just draft them?
It runs the full cadence for you, on schedule, inside compliant contact hours, across email and SMS, plus a voice step on Plus and above. That is the difference between DebtAgent and an accounts-receivable tool that only drafts a reminder for you to send by hand.
Is my data, and my debtors' data, secure?
Debtor records are encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based, and every plan keeps an audit log of what was sent and when. Enterprise adds SSO/SAML, a signed Data Processing Addendum, and a dedicated security review. A DPA is available to any customer on request.
Do I need to connect my accounting software to start?
No. You can start in the browser with no setup and add debtors by hand. Pro adds an optional QuickBooks and Xero sync that imports overdue invoices automatically, so you never re-key a balance.
