Esker Accounts Receivable Pricing and Alternatives With a Published Price

Esker does not publish accounts receivable pricing. Its AR page offers demos, an ROI calculator and a contact form, and no plan, price or trial is shown, so every deal is a quote. If your team needs overdue B2B invoices chased rather than a full order-to-cash suite, DebtAgent publishes its price at $49 to $898 a month, or $294 to $2,994 for a year of the first three plans on yearly billing.

The Esker facts below come from esker.com as read in October 2026. DebtAgent is our product, so this page also says plainly when Esker is the better buy. No Esker dollar figure appears here because Esker shows none, and third-party estimates for it disagree too widely to repeat.

How much does Esker accounts receivable software cost?

Esker does not say. The accounts receivable page lists See solution demo, Schedule a demo, Calculate your potential ROI and Contact us, and nothing else about cost. There is no price list, no plan names and no mention of a free trial. You will get a number only after a demo and a scoping conversation.

That is normal for a suite aimed at larger finance departments, but it makes budgeting hard for a controller at a 30-person company. The practical move is to ask for the full first-year total in writing, and to compare it against a tool whose price you can read today.

What does Esker accounts receivable include?

Esker sells accounts receivable as part of a wider automation suite. From its own page, the collections side includes AI-driven task prioritization and risk analysis, a collections forecast, promise-to-pay data shared across the suite, task and dispute management (you can create and assign tasks from a disputed invoice), approval workflows, and dashboards for DSO, DDO and CEI. Collection notes can sync with Salesforce.

On integrations, Esker says it works with any ERP or business application and cites more than 70 ERP or home-grown systems. It names no ERP on that page, so ask which connector your QuickBooks, Xero or NetSuite setup would use and who builds it.

What should you ask Esker before you sign?

  • What is the total for year one, including implementation, connectors and any per-invoice or per-user charge?
  • Which modules are included, and which of the AR features above are extra?
  • How long is the contract term, and what does renewal look like?
  • Who does the ERP connection and how long does it take?
  • Can the collections module run alone, or does it need cash application and invoicing first?

When is Esker the better choice?

Esker wins when the problem is bigger than late payers. If you have a shared services team, disputed invoices that need task routing, cash forecasting from promise-to-pay data, and an ERP that needs a real integration, a suite like Esker is built for that. DebtAgent does not do dispute case management, risk scoring or payment matching.

DebtAgent wins when the problem is simply that customers pay late and nobody has time to follow up. You import a CSV from any system, review drafted escalating emails sent in your company name, and customers pay you directly. Starter covers 50 active debtors, Plus covers 250 and Pro is unlimited. SMS and voice start at Plus using your own Twilio account, and QuickBooks and Xero sync is on Pro and Enterprise.

How to budget for a quote-only AR suite

A quote from a suite vendor is rarely one number. Expect it to split into a subscription, a one-time implementation or connector fee, and sometimes a volume component tied to invoices or users. The subscription is the part vendors discuss first and the part that grows at renewal, so ask what the renewal cap is and whether prices are locked for the first term.

Then work backward from the cash you expect to recover. Take your overdue balance older than 60 days, apply a realistic share you could pull back with consistent follow up, and compare that with the yearly total. Commonly cited recovery curves put recovery near 70 percent for balances under 90 days past due and below 15 percent past 180 days, which is why speed matters more than features for most small teams. A tool that starts next week often beats a better one that goes live in a quarter.

Also count the internal hours. A suite that needs a project owner, a connector build and training can cost a finance lead several weeks. A CSV import and a drafted sequence costs an afternoon. Neither is wrong, but the time belongs in the comparison beside the license fee.

A fast way to test before a demo cycle

Export your overdue invoices, sort by age and amount, and pull the ten oldest accounts. Run them through a drafted sequence and see which ones respond within two weeks. If most of the cash comes back, you may not need a quote-based suite this year. If the stuck invoices are stuck over disputes or terms, that is the evidence you need to justify a larger platform, and it is worth checking the contract itself. A tool such as an AI contract review and management tool can surface payment terms and late fee clauses before you escalate.
